climate data visualizations.

This work serves to explore the representation of climate data from across the world. Each ring is the graphical representation of a city, all seven continents are represented with six distinct cities. The cities were selected in a way to best represent most of the climate types for each continent. The diagram represents data from one year with each ring representing the average temperature on each day of the year (365 data points for each city).  The goal of this project was to display climate data in an organic and visually distinct manner, but provide a clear visual conceptualization of climate and temperature throughout the world.

The graphics were implemented via Processing [Java based]. The initial image was created using packed circle dispersion physics to produce an organic pattern.
